Komaneko - The curious cat

Last year, the stopmotionfilm Komaneko has been shown at Camera Japan. This film is directed by Tsuneo Goda, who also made short films of the famous character Domo-kun. Komaneko is a silent film, with nice/sweet backgroundmusic, so it can also be watched and understand by very young viewers.

Komaneko is about a cat, who creates her own stopmotionfilm with her homemade dolls. It's so cool to see how a stopmotioncharacter creates a stopmotionfilm! Then something terrible happens: a snowman kidnaps her favorite doll. Ofcourse she wants to get her favorite back. Watch the first part of the film here, at Jumi!

Watch all parts at Radibo's Youtube-channel.

Hep Five

I looove desserts, and this is exactly what I miss and really need in my city: A restaurant that only serves one thing: desserts-icecream-desserts!

When I was in Osaka (Japan), there was a place, where I really landed in heaven for a moment (well, actually this was one of the 100 places, hehe): HEP FIVE. This is a major shoppingmall, with a huge amusementhall, a ferriswheel and a floor with the jummiest (dessert-)restaurants. Jummy beautifully-created-crepes filled with fresh fruit, ridiciously-jummy-too unhealthy-tasty supercakes and pies, icecream cups too-jummy-you-spontaneously-cry-after eating it, with a delicious heavenly sauce. Besides the jummy foodsection, HEP Five is also a great shoppingheaven.

And the view by night, well what do I have to say...it's heavenly beautiful!

Coming soon: Jumi's jummy icecream recipe....

Yaskawa-kun: the Icecream Robot

A few weeks ago I went to the Ikea. I often wait in a long line (with mainly children) in front of the icecream-machine. And then it's my turn: I put my cone in the machine, I press the button, and the icecream comes out of the machine. Jummy!
In Japan there's an advanced version of the icecreammachine/maker. It's name is: Yaskawa-kun! It's a cute robot that actually makes icecream. Just put 300 Yen in the machine, choose what kind of icecream you want, and Yaskawa-kun will make your own icecream, with a big smile on his face.

Yaskawa-kun was created by industrial equipment maker Yaskawa Electric Corp. At the moment, 'the company is lending the robot out for events, while modifying the prototype. The firm intends to market it commercially in fiscal 2011.' They're also thinking about creating a robot that can make (one of my favorite snacks) TAKOYAKI! Omg, I really can't wait till the day that they will actually create a takoyaki-robot!

Today I've bought this tiny tin Kusmi Tea filled with Sweet Love.
I didn't know what to expect of this tea and I'm not even a big teadrinker, but the tin is just so kitchy and hard to resist not to buy.

About the tea, it's delicious and definitly jummy! I'm typing this while zippin it slowly.. (^^)
Ingredients of this one are Black China Tea, liquorice roots, spices, guarana seeds and pink pepper. The tea is spicy and has a very rich taste, all with a great smell.

They have a lot of different blends. Hm.. have to try the chocolate one too.

Kimi ni todoke movie

A live action movie of Kimi Ni Todoke (君に届け) is coming!
The story can be a little slow but still the (shoujo) manga is so *cute*, also nicely drawn. There is an anime of Kimi ni todoke too, but I highly recommend to read the manga.

It's fun to see the characters from the manga back in the trailer. The release is set on September 25 in Japan.
