Stan Lee in K-pop song

OK, for some of you this might be old news, because this song came out a while ago. Still I want to share this song to start a happy weekend. Yup, this time it's the K-pop song from Clara with Gwiyomi song 2 with special guest Stan Lee.

In this MV Clara sings happy with a cute voice (Gwiyomi or kiyomi is Korean slang used to refer to a cute person btw). Yet she punches her oppa (boyfriend) who's talking to other girls (that bastard).
The MV is colorful and has animated/comic effects, so I guess Stan Lee likes it. What about Stan Lee? Ok, ok, don't expect a full Stan Lee music video. At the beginning you see him  for a few seconds when a little piece of Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik K. 525" ends. And at the end you see him doing the Gwiyomi hand dance too. Haha no full Stan Lee music video, sowwie guys and girls. But it's funny to see him for a few seconds in a girlie music video, right.

Enough talking, enjoy the video and happy weekend!

Lifeless objects come alive

What to do with leftovers and rotten food? What to do with small objects you never use anymore? Throw it away? I think Terry Border doesn't do that. Yup, this time I've discovered food- and small objects art of Terry Border.

Terry recreates a small story with just a few objects (or food). Some are cruel and some are lovely. Check out some of his pieces, here at Jumi!

Ieekk! Skeletons of cartoon characters!

OMG, is that a skeleton of Donald Duck??!! Bbbut he's fictional... or not? Yes, he's still a fictional cartoon character. The skeleton is just one of the many pieces made by South Korean artist Hyungkoo Lee.

He must be really fascinated and imagined how cartoon characters would look like without their skin. So he started to use techniques of palaeontology to build skeleton models, with biological and cartoon elements. So you'll immediately recognize Donald's head, but the body is more like that of a real duck. Pretty cool huh! Do you recognize all skeletons?

Learn Korean with B1A4's ABC Song

OMG, I'm still having difficulties learning the Korean language. Even if I'm drooling nonstop while watching k-doramas such as Birth of a Beauty or sing along beautifully (ahum...) with K-pop songs. (And yes, I've tried learning from a book.) So, now I'm searching for other ways. Maybe kids music videos? And yup, I've found one! The ABC Song by by Korean boyband B1A4.

OK, maybe it's not really a kids song. I guess B1A4 fans have played the video a trillion times over and over again. Anyway, the video is cuuuute! Besides the boys of B1A4, the cute characters of LINE (message app such as whatsapp) play a role in the video.

I've watched the video a little bit less than a trillion times, and I still think it's difficult to learn Korean. So if you know easier ways to learn the language, pleaase let me know. 감사합니다

Wanna hide your face behind the Lego mask?

OMG, terrible when you start your day with bad makeup. Your new yellow eyeshadow is terrible and the red lipstick color looks horrible. Iek! OMG, terrible when you start your day with shaving your beard to harsh. You've accidently shaved a piece of skin. Iek! Wouldn't it be nice if you could hide your horrible face behind something? Maybe behind a Lego mask? Say what?

Yup, it really exists! Recently makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench created Lego masks to complete the new high fashion collection of British designers agi & sam for the fall/winter 2015 collection. Agi & Sam comment on their collection, “With a strong emphasis on entirely bespoke print and humour, we believe that fashion should never be taken too seriously. We also endeavour to sit firmly in the middle of brands that fear creating something different and those which push collections too far.”

The Lego beard looks pretty interesting. I don't know how it can be stucked on the faces, but it looks uhm... better than looking horrible right? Would you wear a piece of Lego?

CSP's scarred comic music video

Sooo happy that the weekend has started, so it's time for some music! This time not really a happy song, but I totally love the music video of CSP with Scar. The MV is a cartoon that tells the sad story of a girl that has scars left from her childhood. But love was all that she wanted (click here if you want to read a full English translation).

OK, for those who started to become depressed after seeing the MV: don't (!) and enjoy the drawings in the comic anddd... enjoy your weekend!

I totally looove latte art! Remember Yamamoto's 3D latte art? OK, even if you're a coffee junk, latte art will make you stop drinking coffee. Because it looks toooo cute to drink.

Now the world's first cute latte motion (stop motion animation) has been released by Japanese coffee maker AFG. It's created with 1,000 cups of latte! How cuuuute! Just too cute to drink it all. Enough about the cuteness. Check out the cute video, here at Jumi!

Jobless? Become a dog food taster

OK, some of us might be experiencing it: being jobless and desperate. Sending 200 job application letters, without any success. Boehoeh. But have you tried finding jobs that totally sounds surreal? For example applying for a job as dog food taster. Say what?

Yes, it really exists. Eating dog food for a living! All you have to do is smell and taste dog food to make sure it meets a premium brand’s exacting quality standards. OK, not everybody can do this. You have to be trained to identify flavors that dogs may find appetizing or yuck. And you have to make sure that "each different ingredient is perfectly balanced in just the right way", says chief taster of Lily's Kitchen pet food. The salary isn't bad either. The salary starts from about $30,000 a year (€25.447) to $75,000 (€63.618) for experienced professionals.

Yuck? Well, if you're a person claiming to be a foodlover, this might be an idea, right?

Sweet Bean's chickensong

OK, you don't need to understand one word of Korean to know what this song is all about. Sweet Beans sings about chicken, chicken and much more chicken.

And OMG, while I'm writing this post, I'm listening to this song... very dangerous! I am huuungryyyy! Enough chitchat, enjoy Jumi's song of the weekend! I'm going to eat!

Btw, if you're a chickenfreak and can't get enough of chickensongs, you might like Zan Zan's Chickenfeet song too. Click here to check it out.

Draw piece of artwork with one line

Can you draw something with just one line? Little Jumi can! Check out her piece of artwork above. Isn't it beautiful (no, it's not for sale)! Chinese artist Chan Hwee Chong made some beautiful one-line artworks too. And this guy is pro!

Chan Hwee Chong made replica's of famous paintings Mona Lisa and Vincent van Gogh. He also created the Girl with a Pearl Earring from Vermeer. Just with one line huh. Check out how the artist draws Vermeer's painting.

Dorama tip: Birth of a Beauty

Ladies, it´s been a while, but it´s time for us to drool again... while sitting/lying on the couch with a box of chocolate and some French fries with chocolate dip and a glass of soju with a sip of cola or chocolatemilk. My addiction for Korean dramas has returned, with Birth of a Beauty!

This K-dorama is not so new anymore. It has been going on since November, with the last episode a few days ago. Anyway, Birth of a Beauty is full of dorama (duh), moments of hate, sadness, romance and of course some funnyness. The dorama is a bit predictable, I mean, I already know who will end up with who (I think. Because I haven't seen all the episodes). But the storyline of how the bond between people grows into something beautiful (or turns into disaster) is well done in this dorama.

The story
The dorama follows the life of chubby woman Sa Geum-ran. She's married with a rich douchebag Lee Kang-joon, who's cheating on her. Sa Geum-ran founds out about it omg... and shortly after she confronts douchebag, she got into a strange car-accident. While everybody thinks Sa Geum-ran is dead, something happens that will change her life. She's not dead! After the accident she got a total make-over by a 'doctor' and turned into a total unrecognizable beauty. Now it's payback time douchebag!

Go to dramafire to drool... uhh watch Birth of a Beauty (with English subtitles)!

A song for Oppa

Yes, the first weekend of 2015 has started. So that means it's time to relax with some music. This time a cutie k-pop song that totally doesn't want to leave my head: Hyun Young ft Sool J with Oppa (or honey).

The song and mv are cute, starring a couple and jumping hearts, happy triangles and laughing trees. The singer sings it soo cute, even when she sings 'if you look at other girls, I'll kill you, be good'. Loovely! Enough talking, enjoy the song and sing along oppaya nae oppaya...
