While I was googling for Takashi Miike's new film Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai, I saw an interesting trailer of another film: Saya Zamurai. This is the newest production of comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto (Symbol).
The story
Samurai Kanjuro decides to give up his sword after a certain incident, but did this without permission. Now he wanders aimlessly around with his daughter. But because he abandoned his position as a samurai, a price is put on his head and they're eventually captured. Yet he can be released free if he'll participate in an unique 30-day challenge, where he has to make a young lord smile.
The film will be released in Japan on June 11, 2011. Check out the trailer, here at JUMI.
