Miffy becomes fashionmodel

Miffy is known for her orange dress. But now it's time to shine in another dress, Miffy! A couple of fashion designers were asked to create a partydress for Miffy. Especially for the fifth anniversary of Dick Bruna House, a permanent exhibition of the work of Dick Bruna, in the Netherlands.

It was a big challenge for these fashiondesigners. Claes Iversen was one of the lucky ones to design a beautiful partydress for Miffy. Just as he usually works with models, he also measured Miffy the model, who's 40 cms long. And he made samples too. It must have been difficult to use this model, because Miffy's skin is hard, and she can't move her arms, head and legs. Yet he succeeded to create a perfect white dress with butterflies. People who know the designs of Claes might recognize Miffy's dress. It's almost a copy of a dress which Claes presented last year for his summer 2011 collection.

Today was the grand premier where Miffy showed her new partydresses at the Dick Bruna House. Don't worry if you couldn't make it to the premier, the creations will be displayed until the end of this year at the House.
