Because of the decreasing numbers of tourists coming to Japan, after the quake, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Japan Tourism Agency came up with a new way to attract visitors again. They decided to promote the country with the help of boyband Arashi.
Arashi made a special PR video, where the members of the band visit Hokkaido (oooh, I wish I could go there), Aomori, Tokyo, Kyoto, Kagoshima and Okinawa. I'm not sure if this video will help to attract more visitors. To be honest my desire to come to Japan didn't grow after watching it...because I've already longed for two years to go back again! Ah well, it's a funny video.
The video will be aired at airports and on TV in more than 130 countries, including on a giant electronic billboard in New York's Times Square. And you can check it out here, at JUMI!
