Print your own edible food
What if you can create your own chocolateletter-art or another object, just by pushing the button and print it in 3D? Well, it won't take long or we will have our own printers at home, printing edible 3D images of chocolate instead of ink.
A group of scientists and researchers of the University of Exeter in the UK, developed a 3D chocolate printer. It all starts with printing a flat image. Then it will be shaped into 3D, layer by layer, printing chocolate instead of ink. Jummy....
The idea of printing edible prints is not new. Some researchers in the US are trying to create 'food printers', by using liquefied food as ink. Different kinds of ingredients are stored in separate cooled cans, which are attached to the printer. Choose a meal and the printer will select the right ingredients. These ingredients will be mixed together and the result comes out of a special printingtube. Hmmm, no more sticky kitchenovens, say bye bye to dirty dishes. Welcome to the future, say hello to your edible print!
