Worlds first 4D theater in Seoul

Even though it sounds futuristic, it won't take long for all of us to experience movies on a different level: in 4D! Imagine this, you're in the theater watching a brainless 3D action movie and suddenly the main character in the movie punches someone, but the camera films a close up of his punching fist. At that exact moment you feel that your chair moves 'shockingly' to the back. Or what if you're watching the newest National Geographic wildlife documentary about uhm...elephants walking somewhere. After a few minutes you see one elephant standing still. Wonder why? Well, you can already smell something...smelly...

This month CGV opened worlds first 4D theaters in Korea. The 4D screening uses more than 30 special effects including moving seats, scent, sprinkling water, laser lights and wind. Don't expect to smell everything constantly or feel a punch in your back a thousand times. It really wouldn't be fun to get out of the theater with bruises all over your back, half nauseous of smelly stuff. So I think they just use regular special effects. Go to cnngo.com for more info.

By the way, did you see the 5D horror attraction?
