Finally we've made it to Made in Asia in Brussels. We went this Saturday, and it was packed! Luckily the area was much much bigger than Japan-expo.
There was a shoppingdistrict with lots of stands selling clothes, Japanese gadgets, of course manga- and animestuff, jewelry, k-pop and j-pop stuff. It was also a heavenly place for gamers, because I saw a stand selling old-school gameboy cassettes, x-box games and a lot of game-merchandise. There was also a seperate game-area where you, well of course, play a game with your friends...or villans. And this was the area where we went totally nuts, because we found purikura photoboots...OMG AAAAHHH! These are photoboots, where you can take pictures with your friends and beautify or cutify it by drawing on the picture, colorize it, or put other things like stars, hearts, bows and other cute stuff on it. Love it.
We saw a lot of creativity at this expo. There were artists, who could draw manga-versions of visitors and there were some girls, who had stands selling handmade jewelry (I bought cute doughnut earrings, hihi).
So there's a game-area, a shoppingdistrict, creativity area, but what about food? Uhm, we didn't found much foodstands, that was a dissappointment. And we were too impatient to wait in line for hours, just to get a box of some sticky old noodles. So we filled our tummy with candy...
Entertainment. OK, we've seen a piece of the performance of rockband Trill Dan. Even though it's not my cup of tea, I just wanted to give it a try and just listen to the music....HM. We left quickly hahha. The sound wasn't good! Not the sound of the band, but the whole set up of the loudness of the music. The area itself wasn't good to have such performances (might sound better with small acoustic bands). So I only heard noise, loudness and bad resonance.
Even though it was really crowded, and even though I saw some stupid greedy girls, who pushed me away, because THEY wanted to look at some merchandise at stands, where I was standing at the moment, and even though a lot of people, smelled like shit and old sweat, as if they've never heard of the activity taking a shower, and even though we couldn't eat over there, we had much fun at Made in Asia 2012. Next year we'll definitely visit this expo again.
