Jumi in Paris: in snailheaven at Le Bouillon Chartier

Yes, finally she did it. Little Jumi has eaten snails or l'escargots for the first time in Paris. And she loved it! Yup, by recommendation she went to a French (duh) restaurant Le Bouillon Chartier.

Without any expectations she arrived at the restaurant. It has a simple and oldish look, but it's charming. The dining area is huuuge! And I can understand why. There are many tables and many maaany customers. So Jumi had to share the table with two other customers. But that's OK. The funny thing is that those two customers didn't know each other, but started to have interesting conversations about anything. And I think that's normal here (or maybe in the country). If you start to talk to a stranger in a restaurant in Jumi's city, you'll get a angry face immediately or the stranger will grab his/her smartphone just to avoid conversations (haha that's me). The restaurant has a good atmosphere. Next: the heavenly piece of escargot!

L'escargots (snails)
Snails or escargots ? Slimey? It tastes like nothing? Not at all! Jumi has already tried Karakollen (snails) in Belgium. So she expected something like this. Six escargots arrived on a plate. The shells are filled with garlic butterish oil with a little snail in it. With a special snailfork she pulled out the little snail. And it tasted good, especially with the garlic. Little snail wasn't tough or hard at all. And definitely not slimey. Just a little jummy piece of mini meat. With the leftovers of the garlic butter in the shell, Jumi dipped her pieces of bread in it. Jummyyyy, this was heavenly gooood!!

Afterwards JUMI ate a piece of duck with potatoes and a chestnut cream dessert. But she couldn't forget the heavenly moment of eating the gorgeous jummy escargots.

Anyway, if you're planning to go to Paris and you're searching for a heavenly jummy restaurant, go to Le Bouillon Chartier. Jumi recommends you to try the snails. The restaurant isn't expensive at all. Be aware that it can be very crowded. Jumi arrived at around 7 pm. Luckily she got a seat immediately. After finishing the meal at 9 pm, it still was crowded. Even outside there was a looooong waiting line.
