Jumi eats bangus

Whow a Philippine restaurant in Jumi's city? It's an unknown cuisine for little Jumi, so this weekend she visited restaurant Baryo Pilipinas in The Hague.

The interior is simple, but how they serve the food on the table is interesting. A long table is covered with bananaleaves with a long line of rice and little pieces of shrimps, veggies and other stuff. And there's not a single piece of tablewear. No fork, no knife. So it's funny to see how customers eat with their hands. Jummyyy.. OK, enough about that, back to little Jumi's order.

Little Jumi ordered bangus (milkfish). Just bangus and that's it. Little Jumi was a bit hungry but she could wait. Mhm, waiting, waiting, starving.... stars... seeing stars... OMG, a bit more than half an hour have passed and NO FOOD! Eventually it seemed that the order has been forgotten. Or well, it was already prepared in the kitchen, but forgotten to take it out the kitchen. What the....!! This is bad! OK, it was crowded that day, but that shouldn't be used as an excuse to forget little Jumi's meal! (Hmm, it's not the first time that the order has been forgotten in a restaurant which is similar to this one. Is it because of Little Jumi's cute pink skincolor, her size? I don't know.)


Finally the milkfish has arrived. The marinated fish was split through the middle and spread out, so the fish looked soo huge for one eater. It was jummy, yet some sort of sauce was missing, so that made the fish a bit dry. And unfortunately no veggies were found next to the fish, not even a single slice of cucumber. Too bad. Unfortunately little Jumi couldn't take a picture, she was too hungry.

Even though the milkfish was OK, little Jumi most probably won't visit Baryo Pilipinas again. It just took toooo long for the food to arrive, so that's a BIG no no. Hmm, which restaurant should little Jumi visit next?
