Film about mastersushichef: Jiro dreams of sushi
Forget all those all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants where the chefs work in the kitchen as if they're working in a fabric, trying to make sushi as fast as possible, as much as they can. Where they often serve crappy looking sushi, with seaweed so tough that you're almost choking on it. Where the rice is cooked toooo long and where the fish is all dried up.
Meet the world's greatest sushi-chef and his three Michelin stars restaurant Sukiyabashi Jiro in Tokyo. Director David Gelb followed 85 year old sushi-chef Jiro in his daily life, who's passionate about sushi (of course) and still wants to reach perfection by creating the jummiest, most beautiful sushi. The film Jiro dreams of sushi will be in theaters on March 9, 2012. So here's another restaurant to be added on your travelwishlist :)
Mmmmm, I'm hungry....
