Review: Song Seung Heon's app Honey Side

'Le droolement'
Soo finally the official mobile app of handsome manly man and actor Song Seung Heon is available for Android! He even introduced the app to his fans himself! What a gentleman *siiigh*...

Well, let's review this app! We downloaded the app right away and so.. uhm okay.. so this is a partial review... let us explain further:

What the handsome man forgot to mention is.. the most important thing of this app, is that you need to know the Korean language. Because the intro en registerpages are completely in Korean.. hmm
But with our basic Korean and guessing skills (and a lot of time) we got to manage through the registering level to finally enter our details and click the button that says #$9sblah what probably means "register"..
and there is our first error. "Failed to open a new account".
Wait, what?? So.. we can't go further?? We can't go in and peeping at our Heony? What did we do wrong?? We filled in everything correct.. no Songie to rescue us??

After restarting the app we suddenly got treated to a talking Song Seung Heon with his deep voice and sexy images of this manly man. We can't resist his smile and tried to register again, but no. After trillion times we still get "Failed to open a new account". Sad face!

Maybe the app has reached its registerlimit? Maybe the Android version still has some bugs? Or maybe it's more personal,  (change to bitchy voice:) maybe he doesn't want fans from Holland?! Huh!! (>_<) Omo our heads...

Conclusion
Boohoo, we gonna go drown ourselves in soju somewhere because we got rejected by Song Seung Heon. When this app gets an update or we get an apology letter or something, we will review this app again. But for now, *manning up*, soju.

Did any of our readers had more luck than us? Let us know!

Ice Cream Heels

Bet your thought at first: heels made of ice cream huh!!! My first thought too... Because of the hot weather I only think of ice creams... But no we are not posting about real ice creams this time, these are the new heels of collab Melissa (you know plastic heels) and Karl Lagerfeld (fashion, cola bottles) for fall/winter 2013.

The heels are the typicial Melissa 'Incense' models with an ice cream applied on the heel, "which encourages good humor". To make it extra glamorous yummy, the ice cream pop has glitters. You can choose between 6 flavours.

The heels can be bought from 130 euros and up.
So what do you think of these heels? Shoe collection worthy?

Personally, I find them a bit dull looking. Am I the only one? Because everybody on internet just llllooooooooves them..  But then again, we are Jumi who loves extreme styles, just 1 scoop won't do.. :)

Quincy Jones and K-pop?

Teddy Riley, Will.I.Am, Akon and even Snoop Dogg uhh Lion have been part of K-pop in some way. As producer or part of a song. This didn't really lead to more K-pop popularity in the world. But now someone else discovered K-pop. And now I really have high expectations for K-pop to become more popular outside Asia. It's the man who worked together with great stars such as Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra. It's Quincy Jones!

Yup, Quincy wants to help promote K-pop stars together with Korean entertainment company CJ E&M. Besides promoting K-pop they want to 'set up a joint fund which will help talented musicians study at the Berklee College of Music in the United States'. Cool, but why the hell investing in Korean pop, why not J-pop? “There’s is a sensibility here I have not found in Japan, China or Vietnam,” he said, citing the success of South Korean rapper Psy’s global chart-topper “Gangnam Style”." Nice, I'm looking forward to hear more from Quincy and K-pop!

Jummiest beef intestines soup at Noodle Expert

It's almost been a month since I left Hong Kong. And now I'm suffering. Suffering because I miss the jummy food. The gate to heaven opened, when I set foot on Food Republic. Fooood heaven... uhh court... where you can find many jummy restaurants.

Where on earth can you find a place where you can eat a real happy meal (no not the Mac) for just 3 dollars? Well, there's one restaurant that haunts me in my dreams: Noodle Expert *droooool* Here they have jummy noodle soups. OMG. There's one soup, definitely my favorite meal in Hong Kong: Beef intestines noodle soup. OMG, it tastes like, like.... heaven. It's not too spicy (well, you can add your pepper and spices yourself) and it just costs about 2,72 Euros. OMG!

Anyway, you should try it yourself. If you've already tried it, let us know what you think (hmmm, maybe you've found a better place with much better beef intestines noodle soup). I've found Noodle Expert at food court Food Republic at mall OlympianCity in Hong Kong.

Don't choke on this dangerous drink: the Ring milkshake

Guess who's back. Sadako! The scariest long-haired girl I've ever seen. We have to wait a month (to be more precisely, August 30) for the release of Sadako 3D 2. (Or well, we, I mean in Japan. Too bad that there isn't an official promo release in the Netherlands.)

Last year, she, yup Sadako, promoted her first movie. On the streets and even at the hair salon. And I guess the minister of Environment really loooves Sadako (or scared?...), because this year the Ministry 'has named Sadako an official summer mascot and is even working together with Japanese burger chain Lotteria to promote the sequel. How? Well, from July 27 Lotteria will offer a superscary milkshake based on the Ring. It's ghostly blue, just as the dress of Sadako and the 'topping of chocolate sauce and black straw are meant to conjure the ghost girl's signature jet-black hair.'

Hmmm, do you dare to drink this milkshake. Hm, I don't. I think I would die drinking it, not because I'm scared... well, maybe a bit... scared of getting poopy sickness because of the milk :(

Drink your sweat! It's water!

Oooh it's sooo hot outside. Sooo hot, that you're sweating like an idiot. You might have (accidentally) tasted your drops of sweat, dripping of your face into your mouth... Ieeeuwww salty. What if it's so hot outside and your thirsty. But you don't have a bottle of water with you. And you can't find a store in the neighbourhood.... What to do? Drink your sweat? Ieeeewww.

Well, thinking about this situation is ieeeewww, but maybe it's not that ieeeuww after all. Say what? Swedish researchers have created a machine that turns sweat into drinking water! Huh?

Rest in peace, dear Kim Jong Hak

Today we've heard the sad news that director Kim Jong Hak has been found dead in his studio this morning. He's known as the person who made several k-dramas, such as one of JUMI's favorite historical dramas Faith (and I even don't like historical dramas).

Police found something that seems to be a suicide note. A part of it says 'I Am Sorry To My Family'. He possibly died from carbon monoxide poisoning. The police is still doing investigations, because they're still not sure if this really was suicide.

Kim Jong Hak was already targeted for investigations. There were some problems. 'He was sued for allegedly stealing production funds and refusing to pay money he owed the "Faith" cast and crew.' And he was forbidden to leave the country because of the investigation. People who knew Kim Jong Hak believe these happenings took a toll on his mental state.

So sad, we wish we could see more k-dramas of this man :(

May Kim Jong Hak rest in peace.

Update 24 July
It has been confirmed that Kim Jong Hak has committed suicide. Police said: “We couldn’t find any evidence of homicide in Kim Jong Hak’s case, and the conclusion has been made that his death was a suicide.  The case will be closed today (July 24 KST), and the body will be not be autopsied.” Click here to read more...

King of Fruits becomes wine

Who doesn't loooove the smell of fresh, just cut open, King of Fruits. Mmmm, some say it smells like garbage. But it doesn't taste like that. Yup, I'm talking about the Asian fruit durian! Durian lovers (and maybe haters too) I've got some good news. Maybe you've already tried durian candy and crisps. Wouldn't it be nice to drink something with your crisps? Uhmm, wine for example? Durian wine I mean (of course)...

Well, scientists in Singapore are really busy with making wine of the pulp of Durian. Jummmy. They add some water, then ferment it. The result is clear wine with nearly 6% of alcohol. Mmmmm. Durian haters, this is definitely something you need to try (if they'll sell it someday), because of its special wine making process, the smell is reduced. Sooo, you won't smell garbage anymore. Jummmmyyy.

Rotten snack? No, it's the Black Terra Hot Dog

We've already seen black peanuts and the black hamburger. And now (or well, it already exists a while) there is the Black Terra Hot Dog! Yup, as you can see it's totally black , the sausage And the bun!

Even though this 30 centimeters long Hot Dog looks rotten or chemical, it seems to taste good and it's good for your health. The black color doesn't come from ink, but it's edible bamboo charcoal powder (just like the black peanuts).

Anyway, you can try Black Terra Hot Dogs at Vegas Premium Hot-Dogs in Akihabara (Tokyo). Mmmm, I'm hungry...

Johnnie Walker Blue Label hires Bruce Lee for commercial

As you can see it really is Bruce Lee! A recent image. Nope, it's not Bruce for real of course. No, no, this Bruce Lee is completely in CGI (computer generated imagery). Whahhw....

Yup, that's what I thought after watching this ad of Johnnie Walker Blue Label in China. The beautiful ad has been directed by Joseph Kahn. Together with company The Mill they've created CGI Bruce Lee. It took them over nine months. Whahhhw. Of course they've contacted Bruce Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee, to 'make sure that everything was accurate from look to soul'.

But what the.... Bruce Lee and whiskey?

Cat cafes move over! Here comes the... goat café?

Getting tired of petting lovely fluffy kitties all day? Or feeding cookies to your little doggie starts to bore you. You may want something pettable that makes you feel you are standing in the middle of nature while working in a busy metropolis? Or not, maybe you just want a change of fur to pet.

Well, here's the first goat café! Sakuragaoka Cafe in Tokyo has two cute goats Sakura & Chocolat to entertain you while zippin tea and eating waffles!

So do you think it will be the next big thing next to cat cafes?
I like to visit this cafe, it looks interesting! Though I prefer a cat cafe. But maybe that's because I have never been to a cat cafe. Also I am allergic to cats. But I love cats! I wonder if I am allergic to goats too?? Does it even exists? Goat allergy... Umm... So maybe petting goats is a good thing for people with cat allergies!
(I googled it, and it does exist! So be careful if you are allergic for goats!)

At first I thought by 'Goat cafe' a bunch of goats walking loose in a cafe, but these goats have their own space. Also the interior of the cafe is looking nice. Annnd the goats don't have smelly poop! :D

You can find the cafe at 1F Shinoda Bldg, 23-3 Sakuragaoka-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo JAPAN.

Survive Resident Evil for 'real'

I looove horror. Watching horror movies and.. Ieeekkkk, I remember playing Resident Evil for the first time. OMG.... (I know, I know, I'm a wimp). Now Universal Studios Japan worked together with Capcom to create a new attraction. Too scary to enter, but too cool to join. A real-life simulator: Resident Evil: the Real.

Nope, it's not like you're entering a building and just have to see zombies. No, just like the game, you will get your own replica gun and a limited supply of ammo. Now you have to survive, kill zombies and other scary creatures in a few minutes. Ieeeeekkk! Of course, the goal is 'to make it to your destination without reaching maximum infection'. Right, a difficult task it seems. Especially when Universal Studios Japan 'claims that the chances of surviving the game without infection are approximately zero percent'..... Ieekkk!

Anyway, Resident Evil: The Real will open on July 19 until September 9 in the Palace Theater in the New York section of Universal Studios Japan. Afterwards from September 12 to November 10 (on Friday to Monday or holidays). Do you think you're the person who will survive Resident Evil: the Real?

Re-use your lipstick, create a giant lipstick

What do you do, with your old lipstick, rotten lipstick, ugly colored lipstick. Throw it away? Re-use it for your kiddie coloring book (hmm, good idea...) or collect all your old lipsticks to create something new: a new lipstick! Huh? A giant lipstick! Say what? Well, that's what artist Agne Kisonaite did.. with more than 5000 old lipsticks. She created a giant lipstick! And with giant, I mean really giant, huuuge!

This artwork is 2.5 meters high and it's heavy (200 kg). She made the lipstick to make people aware of how much we throw away (unnessesary), such as half empty lipsticks. Nice idea. Check out the video of Agne, here at JUMI!

OMG that's one giant sushi!.... unedible

(..... can't get enough of bricks.....)

OMG this giant sushi loooks soooo jummy. Too bad that I can't eat it. Not because of its giant size. Nope, because then my tummy (and teeth) would definitely hurt when I try a tiny little piece of the sushi. And no, not because this sushi is rotten. Nope, this giant jummy sushi is completely made of LEGO!

This LEGO sushi, built by Siercon & Coral, was made for a LEGO building competition 'Iron Builder'. Lovely, I want LEGO sushi toooo.

Wear a Lego dress

First we've seen the high heels for Lego divas and now another designer, Rie Hosokai, created this blockish dress, entirely made of.... LEGO. Huh? Yup, it doesn't really look comfortable. Feeling tiny bricks all over your body....

But it's not for sale in stores or whatever. Nope, the designer has created the white dress for the Piece Peace world heritage exhibit. Hmm, I wonder how long the model had to wear this dress for the photoshoot. Uncomfy... not moving for a while, not breathing, eating, drinking, peeing, ieeekkk.

Hello Kitty becomes The Scream

Is Hello Kitty into the artwork of Edvard Munch too? I guess so, if she's been modelling for her own version of The Scream.

Yup, artartart Japan introduced a Hello Kitty Museum Art Collection. They've made towels, stuffed key chains and picture postcards of The (kitty) Scream. The products have the same color composition as the original. Cool!

Anyway, if you're screaming to get your own Hello Kitty Scream, you can go to ecute Tachikawa (Japan). At the end of July they'll be pre-releasing the Hello Kitty Museum Art Collection.

Get to know South Korea with PSY guide

Weeeeh JUMI is soooo sad that English subbed k-drama website dramacrazy is dead. One of our favorite sources to learn Korean and to see a bit of the country itself. *cry*......

But guess who made us happy again: PSY! No, he doesn't have a role in a English k-drama or whatever. Nope. The Korea Tourism Organization came up with something new: the Wiki Korea Dictionary starring PSY.

In the series (the videos in the series only lasts about 15 seconds each) PSY teaches 'Korean phrases to prospective tourists to South Korea.' He will learn us (for example) names of popular shopping districts and foodstuff. Get to know Korean culture better. Oehh nice!

Go to english.visitkorea.or.kr for more info. Check out the video of PSY's Wiki Korea, here at JUMI.

Wear a furry chest hair coat

People who loooove to wear animal furry coats, WAIT, before you buy a new one! Check this out: the coat made out of human (duh) chest hair! Nice.

No man has been harmed during the process of making this coat made out of a million individual hairs. So, you might think that this coat is something created by some kind of animal rights organization or an anti-fur-protester. Nope, it's not.

' The coat was commissioned by milk drink for men, Wing Co., as a protest against the widespread 'manning-down' of British men, typified by clean-shaven chests and emasculating fashion.'

Riiighhtt, but why the hell did they use this male model, who doesn't have one piece of chest hair, hmmm..... He looks sad though. Maybe it's because he doesn't have any hair...

Anyway, if you're interested in this human coat, you can have it for £2,499 (€2887,54).

Bad cops punished by wearing Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty, who doesn't loooove this sweet kitty? Uhm, well, maybe the police chiefs in Bangkok (Thailand). Yup, here they punish bad cops by letting them wear a cute pink Hello Kitty armband! Hmmm, I wanna become a bad cop in Bangkok too!

So what must a cop do to earn this beautiful armband? Well, a cop has to park in a wrong place, come to work late or drops a bit of litter. The bad cop has to wear the armband 'for a few days, with instructions not to disclose their offences. Let people guess what they have done.' So wearing the armband will make them feel guilty and ashamed, and 'hopefully' they won't do these minor bad things again. Hmmmm, feeling ashamed huh. I wanna become a bad cop! Where can I apply????

New video 2NE1 'Falling In Love' online

The latest musicvideo of 2NE1 is out!

It has the title 'Falling In Love' and it's the first single of their new album coming out in October! I was really looking forward the song because we haven't heard new songs from 2NE1 for some while.

Check it out:

Well, it has a real reggae sound! As YG Entertainment said before: 2NE1's new tune will get back in touch with their original reggae sound. You may have heard this sound of 2NE1 before in 'Lonely'. Falling In Love sounds very relaxed and laid back but not very special though. I am used to the uptempo beats of the girls, like 'Fire', and the fierceness of the girls. Have to say this song is a little too laid back for me... Maybe after some more loud plays the song will grow on me.

The girls do look fabulous in their new clip. Also the golden chests.... Niiice teehee!! The beat suits the hot temperature of today very well, a typical song for a lazy Summer day while zipping a drink at the beach.
Can't wait how the next single will sound!

Knitted beards, hot or not?

Actually this is totally not a post for the Summer but umm... let's do this Autumn/Winter 13/14 style!!
I just saw a random thing in an online shop, a hat with a beard. Knitted.

Yes. But... What the...... why??! Okay so let's say you want a temporarily warm beard and you don't have the time to grow one. Or you want to be macho looking while walking on the streets... (This all is also for girls, because of the promo pic below). And it does looks handy when you want to eat something but don't wanna catch a cold.

Beardo makes winterhats with a beard. And if you're not satisfied with only a beard, some come with a bendable mustache too! They look funny, but... I am wondering if people really would wear this everyday?
I prefer men with real beards hehehehehe

What do you think of the Beardo hats? Would you wear it?

The cutest tea infusers

This one is for the tea lovers like me! Fred is a brand that has some super cute tea infusers.
Instead of a dull tea infuser ball, you can have a relaxing Mr. Tea! Look at him enjoying!
When he's done bathing in your hot tea, he can chill out next to your cup.

How about Teatanic? Watch how the ship slowly sinks in your fresh tea, it's funny! ^^

They also have a sea cow, but that one isn't cute enough.. haha
The infusers are sold at several online shops. I am going for Mr. Tea! :)
