How wonderful it is when someone, your dog, cooks for you

Ulg, who doesn't hate the moment, coming home after a hard day of work, and still not done working. Because you have to cook! But you're lucky if you don't have to, and someone else does it for you. Cooking with lots of love.

Madeline Sharafian made this beautiful short animation, about someone who cooked with lots of love for the person coming home. And that someone is a... dog. How cuuuute. Definitely the perfect dog! With this animation Madeline wanted to show 'how meaningful it is to make food for someone you love'.

Yes it definitely is.. but for me... cooking=not love, eating=love. I love it when someone cooks for me!

I think we all have seen (at least) one film of Hayao Miyazaki or Studio Ghibli. And I think we all have cried a tiny little bit (or a looot) watching a film of him. And I think we all have favorited (at least) one film in our top 5 list. So it's inevitable that there are a lot fans creating tributes to Hayao Miyazaki. And this tribute is sooo omg. Totally love it!

Ieekk, Disney princesses turn yellow

OK, we have to wait a little bit more than a week. And then we will get an invasion of little yellow..... Minions!

I've already see them everywhere in stores. Yes, these little yellow fellows try to adapt to our society by showing their faces everywhere! And now the Minions have shown their faces at Disney. Recently they dressed theirselves up as Disney princesses!

These Disney princesses are created by Jen Lewis of BuzzFeed. Each of the Disney Princess Minions created are accompanied by the apologetic phrase, 'I'm so sorry.' Don't feel sorry, the outfits look minionishly good! I totally like the royal diva look of Cinderella Minion. Which Minion is your favorite?

Ieekk! Skeletons of cartoon characters!

OMG, is that a skeleton of Donald Duck??!! Bbbut he's fictional... or not? Yes, he's still a fictional cartoon character. The skeleton is just one of the many pieces made by South Korean artist Hyungkoo Lee.

He must be really fascinated and imagined how cartoon characters would look like without their skin. So he started to use techniques of palaeontology to build skeleton models, with biological and cartoon elements. So you'll immediately recognize Donald's head, but the body is more like that of a real duck. Pretty cool huh! Do you recognize all skeletons?

CSP's scarred comic music video

Sooo happy that the weekend has started, so it's time for some music! This time not really a happy song, but I totally love the music video of CSP with Scar. The MV is a cartoon that tells the sad story of a girl that has scars left from her childhood. But love was all that she wanted (click here if you want to read a full English translation).

Wanna try a Submarine Sandwich?

Start with slices of boxing gloves as a base. Put pieces of football on it. Add a bit of spiciness with some old socks. And to make it more crunchy, use wiggle eye stickers to complete the perfect Submarine Sandwich.

Of course, of course the sandwich isn't part of some sort of experiment. And it's not edible (before you all run to the sandwich store with the name that starts the same as the title of the short video). Submarine Sandwich is a cool stop-motion video by PES. Chewing on a pencil so awefully hard that eventually you can't use it anymore. Or pressing too hard on a pencil everytime you write with it, sooo many times that you can't use it anymore. What a waste. Besides that, isn't it sad that you have to throw away that cute pencil? Say what?

Manjoong Kim created a cute animation about an ordinary day of stationary. The animation is soooo funny. Maybe this will help you a bit to think twice (omg, now Celine Dion's song is stuck in my head) before you (ab-)use your pencil.

OMG, selfies. Sometimes I see horrible selfies passing through on Instagram. But sometimes I find some interesting ones. And so does Simona Bonafini (Italy). Recently the artist 'spotted' (or well, created) some famous (duh) Disney characters with their own selfies. Check out the hashtags that the characters have used.. and the comments! Funny!

Leo the lonely robot

OMG, have you already 'met' Leo? He's a supercute Hi-Tech pet robot. Cuuute, I wanna have it and play with it! Well, it seems that Leo is trying to find someone too.

Have you ever noticed that some Disney characters have the same choreographer? Yup, for real! Some of the characters are showing the same dance moves in music videos. I guess back in the days that Disney made the films, they couldn't afford hiring more choreographers. But that doesn't make the videos crappy. I still love watching Disney films! Calling all 80's Kids

My eyes fell on this fabulous clip of Youtuber Shameless Maya. She made a dance off as the character Shana Elmsford of Jem and the Holograms!
Who watched Jem too? I personally loved this cartoon and also The New Archies and Thundercats.. Ok, check out the clip:


In this video Shameless Maya is showing some fierce moves from the eighties. I have to say, the guy is doing a pretty good job too. It kinda makes me wanna watch Madonna clips afterwards ha! How about you?

Well I got more interesting news. Actually I just found out while browsing, that a Jem and the Holograms movie is coming! A real live action!
OMG! Wait, what??! How! Where? And most of all, WHO???!??

After some research by yours truly, found out there is a serious filmproject going on. Directed by John M. Chu (G.I. Joe 2, yes that crappy movie with the hot Lee Byung Hun!!). But without Christy Marx on board, the writer of Jem. Now, that's a pity. What do you think about this? Bad move?

Doraemon x Akira at 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games

As some of you know the Olympic Summer Games of 2020 will be held in Tokyo. Guess who has been named special ambassador... Doraemon! Some of you might know too that Akira predicted the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games waaay back in 1982. Hmm, what if you combine these two characters?

That's what Aleix Pitarch did. Check out his animation starring Doraemon with a little bit of Akira (sort of). He made this video as humble tribute to Katsuhiro Otomo, Tatsuyuki Tanaka, Koji Morimoto and all the great artists involved in Akira.

Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story

OMG I saw this cute trailer from a stop-motion film, starring a Blank Mickey and Minnie. And it's a looove story. "When a Blank Vinylmation goes searching for his lost love, he finds himself on a quest that reveals his true identity and the destiny of his entire world." Ahhh, totally love that little part when the girl gives the boy a bow. How sweeeeet.
