Sing goodbye to your PMS

No, noooooooo pleaaase! Don't expect a sweet romantic valentine's day song this weekend. I'm definitely not in the mood for it. Why? Because it's the time of the month again, boehoehhhh! The only thing that can cheer me up is sing goodbye to it. Goodbye PMS! And I've found the perfect song by Park Myung Soo and Lizzy: Goodbye PMS. Totally loooove it!

Check out the song and say goodbye to your PMS!

Emergency kit for lovers in pain

We all (must) have an emergency kit at home. When you're hurt or bleeding, grab the kit and stick yourself full with band-aids. But what if you're hurt and not bleeding? Hurt in your heart? Well, Melanie Chernock, a graphic designer based in New York, came up with Love Hurts! A special emergency kit for heartbreaks.

The kit is filled with (of course) first aid items: a bar of dark chocolate, tissues, painkillers (actually candy hearts), vodka, bubble bath soap, candle with matches, and a cd to become more depressed, or not.

Coool. Too bad that it just contains one bar of chocolate. To me it would be much muuuch better if the kit was completely filled with chocolate. Mmmm, chocolate...

Nell - The day before

I felt sad when I heard the song The day before by Korean singer Nell. And it became much more worse when I found the English translation of the song. I got a huuuge lump in my throat. The sweet voice, soft drums and subtle violins makes this song emotionally beautiful, but sad. There are different interpretations of this song. Some say it's about a breakup, others about a suicide. Hmmm, what do you think?

Cute cupcake proposal

Awww... this video makes you go awwww in an instant. It's a cute video about how a guy proposes his cupcake-lover girlfriend in a cupcake cafe. But it's so cutely made and with all the help of his and her friends it was such a creative project! Curious about what she said? Go watch:

Harry Potters highlight

Definitly the highlight of all Harry Potter movies, the scene of HP Deathly Hallows where Harry and Hermione are dancing on this song. It fits very nicely. This is O Children of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

The Tired City

Just saw this animated short, it's so sad! But I like the drawings and music.

The story happens to the busy her, and her story can also be your story. She is a character from a fairy tale: sweet, dedicated and rather naive. Facing the owner of Tired Out Incorporation, Bossie, and to earn her living, she pours herself into her work everyday, proficient, no complaints and never says no. The flower in the office is her only joy. But she has no time for it, or her friends or family... then the flower wilts and she comes to realize the true meaning of living...

Umbrella

I'm in pain.
My bananayellow umbrella from Japan was blown apart by the heavy Dutch rainy weather yesterday. I was forced to leave my broken umbrella between two ripped open garbagebags in a dirty corner.
Our memories together flashed before my eyes, how I bought it at Hatagaya station in Tokyo for just 300 YEN. How it protected my hairdo during pouring days in Japan. How well it fitted in my suitcase back home to Holland. How carefull I was not to bring it outside during heavy wind.
I'm sorry, yesterday I was not carefull enough.
Now, I have another reason to visit Japan again.
