One of the typical things you'll see at the girlie-section at a toystore are...baby borns and other scary baby dolls. I've never liked dolls, so I never understood why almost every girl I knew love baby dolls. To me, they were just scary. They suddenly cry or pee in their diaper.
Now I've seen a new type of baby doll: Baby's first baby. A pregnant baby doll! Say what?
Artist Darren Cullen has created this special doll. No, no, you won't find them in toystores. It's just a way to make people think more about baby dolls in general. "It's about the way these toys intrinsically train girls to have and care for children while they are still only children themselves."

Anyway, you can see Baby's first baby at the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art in Sunderland until 12 January 2013 as part of a group show called "Moral Holiday".
