Design a manga character for NASA and JAXA's mission
If you're a total space-freak, dreaming about being an astronaut, or being part of NASA or JAXA (Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency).... and you can draw well... then you definitely should participate on their Manga Character Contest!
Both space agencies will work together on a new project "Global Precipitation Measurement Project (GPM Project)."
"The GPM mission will help advance our understanding of Earth's water and energy cycles, improve the forecasting of extreme events that cause natural disasters, and extend current capabilities of using satellite precipitation information to directly benefit society."
And here comes the cool thing about the mission. They want to have a manga character, a mascot, for promotional and educational purposes. And YOU can design it! Of course, they aren't searching for just a plain character. First you have to go to the special website of NASA and read more about the GPM mission (of course, there are rules). And then you can start designing. "Entries will be divided into three classes based on age: 13-15; 16-18; and 19 years and older. You can submit entries by email until 30 April."
So now you can become part of an international project of NASA and JAXA. Cool! Click here for more info.
