Last time we've posted about the theater version of Princess Mononoke. Well, it seems like it doesn't end here. Yup, another creation of Studio Ghibli will become a live-action version. This time it's a movie version of Kiki's Delivery Service (1989).
To be honest, it's not one of my favorite Ghibli stories. Hmmm... I'm waiting for my Neighbour Totoro....
Good news is that the project will be helmed by director Takashi Shimizu. Yup, the guy from the superscary -OMG-I-still-have-nightmares- Ju-on / The Grudge movies. Hmmm, I hope he doesn't change Kiki into a scary witch, ieeekkkk! No, he said 'he wants to give his version of the teenage witch a bit of a wild side'. Good.
Anyway, we can expect the premiere in 2014. So be patient people. For now, enjoy the trailer of the animation of Kiki's Delivery Service.
