Quincy Jones and K-pop?

Teddy Riley, Will.I.Am, Akon and even Snoop Dogg uhh Lion have been part of K-pop in some way. As producer or part of a song. This didn't really lead to more K-pop popularity in the world. But now someone else discovered K-pop. And now I really have high expectations for K-pop to become more popular outside Asia. It's the man who worked together with great stars such as Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra. It's Quincy Jones!

Yup, Quincy wants to help promote K-pop stars together with Korean entertainment company CJ E&M. Besides promoting K-pop they want to 'set up a joint fund which will help talented musicians study at the Berklee College of Music in the United States'. Cool, but why the hell investing in Korean pop, why not J-pop? “There’s is a sensibility here I have not found in Japan, China or Vietnam,” he said, citing the success of South Korean rapper Psy’s global chart-topper “Gangnam Style”." Nice, I'm looking forward to hear more from Quincy and K-pop!
