Jumi on tour: H&M flagship store, The Hague

When there's an event and rain, there's Jumi! This time Jumi went to the opening of the H&M flagship store, The Hague. OK, what's so special about it? The new H&M opened in a beautiful historical building of Maison de Bonneterie. And it's big! So Jumi had to take a peek inside.

The new store would open at 10 am, so Jumi arrived at 9:30. Hmm, Jumi too early? No! There was already a loooooong queue of women waiting outside with their umbrellas. What the... Hmm, strangely enough I already saw some female customers walking inside the store.. Uh, I don't get that, because the store would open at 10. Hmpfff strange and stupid! Probably some hungry women were already waiting outside at 7 am, and the security thought 'ah, well let's open the doors for them, before they (b)eat us'. Hmpf.

After waiting for a little 20 minutes Jumi entered the store. So many people, so many things! The store has as far as I could see, because people were pushing Jumi away (stupid hungry people! Get a pizza or something...) 4 floors. But then I saw why people were acting like they're hungry prehistorical creatures. They all wanted something from the brand Balmain! There was a special Balmain area, so many people went to that area. It's like the store gave away free masterpieces of pizzas or something.

So what's new and different about this store? Well, it has a large shoes collection. Jumi saw some gorgeous high heels, so she had to try it. Too bad that the shoes didn't fit.

The store also has a 'home' department where you can get a lot of cute stuff for your bathroom, living room and bedroom. Jumi was tired trying those heels. So she rested for a while. Good service of H&M, putting a bed for tired Jumi.

For this special opening, there were nailstylists. Waited for 10 minutes, but it took so long, so bye bye nailstylist. There also was a DJ. Luckily the music wasn't extremely loud, so no tissues in the ears. By the way, the ceiling of the building remained the same, that's good!

After a little hour Jumi left the store. She bought a new shirt, which you can find at any H&M btw. The cashier gave her a new Elle magazine as a little extra.

So is it worth it to go to the flagship store? Uhm, if you're curious about what you can find at the 'home' department. But you can also find this department in Amsterdam. I think it's nice for those who want to know how this old historical building transformed into a modern clothing store. I mean you can find many (yes many, probably you'll find sweaters in more colours in this store) other things at the three other H&M's in The Hague. OK, the shoes collection is big, but I guess you can find these shoes online too. One thing I didn't see are the clothing in sale, maybe that's logical, because it's a special flagship store. Because the building is big, the store has more space. So if you're a person who prefers to go shopping with a lot of private space, than this is the H&M place.

Time to eat!.... or not? Nope, outside the store a promoting lady gave a coupon to get a free sample for a hairspray from the brand Balmain. Jumi only had to go to another department store (Bijenkorf) to receive it. So Jumi went to the Bijenkorf and received 'Texturizing Salt Spray' of 50 ml. Does it smell salty? No it's smells like a hair salon.

Jumi is hungry. Now it's time to eat!

The Force Awakens when you wear these heels

We still have to wait a little while before we can see lightsabers, C-3PO and R2-D2 reuniting in the new Star Wars..... Shoes!

Yes Star Wars divas, Irregular Choice designed these special shoes! For now I've seen three different shoes.

The first one (see picture above), the R2-D2 heels are more for the classy divas who wants to be carried by R2-D2 with a classy blue color and design.

The lightsaber heels looks like they're made for the tough 'don't-mess-with-me-or-else-I'll hit or kick-you-with-my-lightsaber' divas. It has a shiny color and the edgy sole which makes the 'don't-mess-with-me' look complete.

I'm not a high heel walker, so I think the C-3PO totally fits me. (Or well, I prefer seeing R2-D2 on top of the shoe, because C-3PO isn't really my favorite character.) It's simple, with on the back saying 'Star Wars' and C-3PO looking at you.

These shoes will be available at the end of this month on the website of Irregular Choice. So are you ready to wear them at the première of The Force Awakens? Which one would you wear?

Forget Hello Kitty, it's time to wear My Melody shoes

Hello Kitty sneakers, Hello Kitty creepers, Hello Kitty pumps and Hello Kitty moccasins. OMG, too much Hello Kitty shoes. That's enough! It's time to wear My Melody shoes!

My Melody is turning 40 and for this special occasion Japanese fashion retailer Randa will offer a line of gorgeous pumps, sweet moccasins and cute flats of My Melody!

Don't they all look supercute? I totally love the details on every shoe. The moccasins and pumps have a cute tail at the back. The bottom of the heel of the bijoux pump has the shape of a heart. And the limited edition of the house pump is just gorgeous with its window and My Melody sitting on a chair which is also the heel of the pump.

The prices vary from 11.900 yen to 19.900 yen (about €87 to €146).

Nice... But I don't think I would wear the house pump for example (limited item), because it looks too gorgeous to wear. What would you do? Wear it and show it off to the outside world?

Turn your dog into kitty, Hello Kitty

I don't think any dog would love to wear kitty clothing. But maybe your dog would change his or her mind, seeing this: Sanrio's Hello Kitty Cosplay outfit!

Yup, Sanrio didn't forget your pet to create some nice Hello Kitty clothing. It's all part of their newest collection that they've recently introduced. OK.... if you don't have a dog, the clothes are also wearable for cats. The Hello Kitty outfit costs 3.024 円  ( that's about €22).

Anyway the collection also includes cute backpacks, keychains, collars and leads. Check it out at the website of Sanrio.

Dive as Hello Kitty, wear Hello Kitty Dry Suit

Imagine this: you're diving somewhere, but then you see a clear red bow, a white face and black eyes... Hueh? Hello Kitty diving? Fear not. You might have encountered just someone wearing a Hello Kitty diving suit. Say what?

Yup, this diving suit is definitely for Hello Kitty diva divers. The suit is just like any other normal diving suits. It includes a diving hood and ankle weight. There are only 50 suits available, so you can already guess, that the suit isn't really cheap.... €4577! What the... (Honestly, I don't like it. It looks more like a motor suit. And the diving hood looks a bit creepy too me. Hello Kitty's head is enlarged and it's like she's eaten your face, because her mouth is where your face will be....). Hello Kitty diva divers, would you order this suit?

The Simpsons welcomes Hello Kitty in new clothing line

Well, it seems like Homer Simpson, or well, the whole family loves Hello Kitty too! Who doesn't? Yup, recently Hello Kitty has been spotted on a family photo with the Simpsons!

Sort of... Japan La introduced a new clothing line 'The Simpsons x Hello Kitty. On the clothes the Simpsons family have... uhmm.... Hello Kitty-ish faces. Check out Homers face. Cuuute! And of course Hello Kitty posed herself on every item of this special Japan LA edition.

The prices vary from $60.00 (€53) to $160.00 (€141).

Check out the whole collection on the website of Sanrio.

Free sneakers by winning Subway Pump Battle?

Some sneakerbrands have interesting ways to promote their newest products. Some even give away a pair of newest sneakers for free. For example Reebok with the ZPump Fushion sneakers.

For free? Say what? Uhmm... well, of course you have to do something. Win the Subway Pump Battle of Reebok! A weird machine has been installed in a subway in South Korea. This machine targets two people randomely who are just sitting down at the station. Then all of a sudden the two targeted people have to compete with each other, by playing a game. The game involves hitting the buttons that lit up as fast as possible. The winner is rewarded with the pair of ZPump Fushion sneakers.

Funny game right? But the game also has a little purpose. 74% of Korean office workers admit to lack of exercise. So this game is a way of Reebok to inspire them to move more. Unfortunately, we don't have this machine in our little country. Hm, I would defintely work out with this machine by sitting at the station all day and night long... gimme those sneakers, Reebok!

Love my cheap Hello Kitty shoe liners

Annoying isn't it, go shopping and trying to find something specific. Eventually leaving the store with a pair of socks. Hmm, that often happens when I go to Primark. And I always end up with.... a pair of socks! But this time with lovely Hello Kitty socks (and no, nope, these are not from the kiddy department).

I already have normal Hello Kitty socks, so I was happy to find these shoe liners. A pack of five is € 4,00. Lovely cheap Hello Kitty shoe liners!

Hello Kitty works together with fashiondesigner Yohji Yamamoto

It's time for some Hello Kitty fashion news. Guess what! Sanrio is teaming up with fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto! Cooool! Yamamoto's new line is called: Kitty's (how adorable).

Unfortunately I don't know how this line would look like. But, hmm I'm guessing the new line might be interesting for guys too (as I said before, I will never give up saying that there's nothing wrong to wear Hello Kitty, guys). Kitty's will include t-shirts, polo shirts, jackets and sweatshirts adorned with Hello Kitty illustrations. And this time Sanrio (or Yamamoto) has chosen to put illustrations of Hello Kitty's friend, My Melody, too. Cool!

Anyway, the new brand will open two stores in Japan this spring. I don't know much more about it, but I'll keep you updated.

Nendo's Hello Kitty tees for manly men

No, I will never give up: guys, there's nothing wrong to wear something with Hello Kitty on it! Remember the beardy Hello Kitty shirt? How manly is that! And now I've found another line of Hello Kitty t-shirts. This time of Japanese design studio Nendo.

The brand produced manly shirts aimed (of course) at a male audience. So no girlie girlie pink (or well, one of it has a bit of pink in it) or flowers and butterflies (hm, except for one shirt, yet this one looks manly, because of the colors).

Anyway, there are eight different shirts: Radiograph Kitty, Math Kitty, Dictionary Kitty, Architecture Kitty, Biology Kitty, Physics Kitty, Art Kitty and Evolution Kitty. The last one is my favorite.

Evolution Kitty: Since her debut in 1974, Hello Kitty has been subtly evolving through the years, incorporating design trends concerning her contours, three-dimensionality and facial features. The design draws attention to Kitty’s continuous evolution, by superimposing her on the classic illustration depicting human evolution.
Click here if you want to read more about the other Kitty shirts. Unfortunately, I don't know if these shirts will be in stores soon. But don't worry guys Jumi will keep you updated ^__^

There's a cat on your head!

Wth, what would you do if you see someone with a cat on his/her head? Ignore it and leave the person embarrased behind without saying anything. Or go 'omg, omg so cuuute'. Or train your cat to do the same. Well, the last one might be a bit cruel. And the first option, well, who cares how strange the other look like. Looking strange is cool! I think I would go for the second option. And omg, it's possible to stick a cat on your head without 'torturing' your cat.

Japanese designer Campanella created the neko-kaburi (cat riding on the head)! And no, not one real cat had to sarcrifice his/her life to make an accessory like this. It's just a hairband, but the topside of it is a fake fluffy friendly cat. OMG, omg, so cuuute! Hm, too bad to find out that this hairband isn't available in stores... TT

Wanna hide your face behind the Lego mask?

OMG, terrible when you start your day with bad makeup. Your new yellow eyeshadow is terrible and the red lipstick color looks horrible. Iek! OMG, terrible when you start your day with shaving your beard to harsh. You've accidently shaved a piece of skin. Iek! Wouldn't it be nice if you could hide your horrible face behind something? Maybe behind a Lego mask? Say what?

Yup, it really exists! Recently makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench created Lego masks to complete the new high fashion collection of British designers agi & sam for the fall/winter 2015 collection. Agi & Sam comment on their collection, “With a strong emphasis on entirely bespoke print and humour, we believe that fashion should never be taken too seriously. We also endeavour to sit firmly in the middle of brands that fear creating something different and those which push collections too far.”

The Lego beard looks pretty interesting. I don't know how it can be stucked on the faces, but it looks uhm... better than looking horrible right? Would you wear a piece of Lego?

Babe, you're hairy!

Nope, I don't mean the woman on the picture (well, maybe she is hairy, but I'm not focusing on that). But the hairy high heels!

Look closely and you really see hair. The heels, Babe, are made of fleshy-looking silicon gel and covered in pubey black strands of human hair. Ulggg! But, it's not made without a reason.

'Babe' is made by Chinese artist Zhu Tian as a comment on how women's footwear is sexualized and fetishized. Hmm, there are men who will immediately look at you with an ulggg-dirty-mind-look when you wear your pink shiny stilettos. Will they look at you if you wear these pink heels? Well, they might... with an ulggg-dirty-mind-look... but just in another way.

Beardy Hello Kitty shirt, for beardy men

Nope, I won't give up. Men wearing Hello Kitty stuff is cool! Haven't you seen the cool Hello Kitty shirts for tough guys from JapanLA Clothing? It seems that there's an increase of brands offering Hello Kitty stuff for men. Now I've stumbled upon Cotton Jelly with.... Hello Kitty shirts for men too!

To make Hello Kitty a bit manly she grow her beard on one of the shirts. Say what? Hello Kitty has a beard? Uhm, nope. She pasted a lot of little bows on her chin so that it looks like a beard. Cute huh... uhh I mean Cool huh! The beardshirt costs €37.54. Hmm, maybe a nice gift for your beardy friend?

Btw, Cotton Jelly has many other Hello Kitty shirts for men and women. Check them all out, click here.

Hello Kitty x Jeffrey Campbell heels are to die for

I'm not into high heels, I don't think I will ever be. Just wearing them for two minutes will kill me. Stumbling on a normal paving stone, spraining my ankle because my ankle has an own will, or just walking like a hunchback that my back would grow crooked immediately. Hmm... but maybe I will risk my life wearing these gorgeous Hello Kitty x Jeffrey Campbell heels!

Especially for Hello Kitty's 40th anniversary, shoes designer Jeffrey Campbell made ten Hello Kitty heels. Four pair of heels are black and pretty acceptable to wear it on a regular workday. The other ones are happy colorfull. Some of the heels are really high. The highest heel is about 15,24 cm (OMG!!). I totally looove the heel on the picture above.

Anyway, the prices are...... from €128 to €220, so that´s not really really expensive. Yet, I think I'll skip ordering these heels... let me practice walking on heels starting from 3 cm.

Muscled in 2 seconds? Wear a Muscle Suit!

OMG, doesn't your boyfriend (and yourself) ever get tired of it? Exercising, fitnessing, working out or whatever he does till late at night. Coming home all yucky sweaty. Just to get all those idiotic blocks on his body. Hmm, maybe you can give him this present, and you won't wait anymore until he gets home, tired and sweaty from the gym: the Muscle Suit!

All he has to do is wear the suit and the desired blocks will appear! How cool is that. No more diets, protein shakes and no more exercise! So maybe he can look like Lee Byung Hun in 2 seconds, oeeewww. Ehm, but the suit costs about €684 ahumm.... riiighttt... another idea is just to draw blocks on his body with eyeliner and paste some thick pieces of ham or mini cushions on it, much cheaper..

How cute! Floral Goodnight Bra for men

We've seen it before: lingerie for men. And I mean real lingerie, from bras to panties. OK, bras for men... Of course these ones don't have cup sizes and are just for men who just have a estrogen day. So it isn't functional.

But ladies, if you're just dying to find a perfect fitting bra for your boyfriend (or male readers) don't be sad. Because now I've found a bra which truely 'works' as a bra!

Say what? Say hello to the Floral Goodnight Bra! OK, I must say, it's not a manly man bra. BUT this one really gives the support needed on the right places on the man's body. It gives a round-the-clock chest protection. So it might be a useful bra, for muscled men for example. And if your guy doesn't wear it, you can wear it too. It has a cute flower design ^__^

Become the head of cheeseburgers

There are people who are totally addicted to cheeseburgers. Starting the day with a cheeseburger. A lunch with double cheeseburger. And for dinner eating a triple cheeseburger (or the other way around).

OK, if you're soooo crazy about cheeseburgers. If it's your life, why not becoming a cheeseburger! No, no, I don't mean to grind yourself into a hamburger patty and put some greasy cheese on your head. Nope, now you can wear a cheeseburger over your head. No, no, I don't mean a real one (well, you can do that too, but hm, maybe that's a waste of the cheeseburger). Check out the Cheeseburger Mask.

This mask is three dimensional and has two eyeholes. So don't be afraid to bump to the walls of a cheeseburger restaurant. Are you addicted enough to wear it? The mask costs $39,99 (about €30). Click here for more info.

Be cute and tough with New Era x Hello Kitty caps

Who said that Hello Kitty is just for the girlie girlies? Remember the collab with Vans? And it doesn't end here. Because now Hello Kitty (or well the godfather Sanrio) worked together with New Era to create three Hello Kitty caps!

Imagine how how tough you will look wearing these cute caps. I've found the caps at Sanrio. Each cap costs $36 (about €27).
