2NE1 on tour in space
Maybe you've already seen previous video teasers for 2NE1's upcoming world tour 'All or Nothing'. Well, just now I've seen their new video teaser 'The Journey'. And it looks awesome.
The members are preparing for a cosmic journey (that's their world tour). So you'll see for example Bom crying while looking at the moon (aaaww). And Minzy, well, she's showing off her Jedi light saber.
Enough talking, check out the video teaser, here at JUMI!

2NE1 is Missing You
Maybe you've already heard the news: 2NE1 has a new song Missing You! Nope, this time it isn't an uptempo song, but a slow sad song and it stays slow. I think you can hear their singing skills much better. It's good, but from 2NE1's slow songs I still like It Hurts more.
The girls also announced to start a world tour! It starts in March 2014 in Seoul (of course, of course). They've confirmed a few other Asian countries: China, Japan and Hong Kong and more. Well you just have to watch the second video in this post. Hmmm, I hope they'll visit Europe too.
Anyway, enough talking. Check out their new video, here at JUMI!

2NE1 and PSY at Live Hologram show in UK
And of course, I found out toooo late that 2NE1 and PSY were performing (or well, today is the last day) in Europe! In London! Say what?
Yup, there was a chance to meet 2NE1 and PSY in a Live show. For real? Nope. Recordlabel YG organized and introduced something new: the Live Hologram Show! Maybe you can remember the Star Wars scenes where for example Yoda became a hologram, how cool was that.. ahum... ok... enough about Star Wars... Anyway, how cool would it be to see the girls of 2NE1, PSY (and maybe in the future BIGBANG) in hologram!
I hope YG will organize more of these shows. Here's a videoclip of PSY, OMG, I wish I was there! It looks soooo cool. Check it out, here at JUMI!
And a videoclip of 2NE1

Maybe you've already heard something about it. But Psy and G-Dragon might perform on October 10th at Olympic Park (Korea). OK, so? Well, it's during the very first concert of....... Justin Bieber.
Yup, yesterday this boy tweeted: "excited to get to Korea to perform on October 10th. Maybe u will see my guys @psy_oppa and @IBGDRGN. Get the bbq ready." Hmm, who wouldn't want to perform together with these Korean superstars, right? But uhmmm... this combination..... Nice to see GD together with Psy, but with Justin..... Hm.

Review: Gackt @ Melkweg, Amsterdam
| actually, photos and recording was prohibited... but managed to take this blurry shot XD |
Yesterday Gackt visited the Netherlands at the Melkweg in Amsterdam with the Yellow Fried Chickenz tour.
First of all, I was amazed to finally see Gackt live on stage! To hear his voice live! No more Youtube screen! Yay!! I am not familiar with his new (YFC) stuff, so I didn't know most songs. But that didn't stopped me from shouting along and dancing! :D
The other guy
There was another guy, Jon, dancing and singing next to Gackt. For me it was a no-no. I understand this was all in the tour with new members added and I am sure he is talented. But actually if I could advice Gackt, please loose the other guy! Gackt owns the stage on his own, even when there is somebody else singing next to him which makes Jon a bit unnecessary. Sorry Jon. Also it didn't give me a good chance to hear Gackts voice clear. The parts where Gackt sang solo were beautiful.
Gackt promised us to come back. I hope he will, without a second singer! (^^)
He was clearly loving the crowd as a lot of songs ended big while he was standing on stage to receive the unending cheers. Sometimes a bit too long.. but still with loud cheering. It was great when he was talking with the crowd! At one moment Gackt took off his shirt and teased everyone with energetic hip-shaking moves. Later, the other bandmembers took off their shirts too. Almost looking like a crazy stripshow... :)

The Legend of Zelda in concert
Have you always been a huge fan of the Zelda games? Well, then you should listen to (or read) this!
Because of its 25th anniversary, Nintendo will organize a special symphony concert series. The first concert will be held in LA at the Pantages Theatre on October 21, followed by a tour in 2012.
The Zelda songs, which will be played during the concert, are hand-picked by the videogame composer Koji Kondo himself (also known for his Super Mario series). It's not the first time that a videogame comes alive in a symphony concert. A few years ago, there also was a Super Mario concert. Click here to watch this video.

Jumi on tour: Limp Bizkit @ HMH Amsterdam
Yesterday Limp Bizkit was performing at Heineken Music Hall (HMH) in Amsterdam. One thing of the whole gig that HAS to be mentioned first: the outfit of Wes Borland was awesooooooome! Unfortunately I couldn't take a great picture of his look, so I've borrowed this one from the internet hehe..
The gig was cool, it had some funny interludes like Vogeltjesdans or some dancemusic.
Unfortunately one song, Behind Blue Eyes was false XD and the whole part with rapgroup Dope D.O.D. or something, did nothing for me. But the oldies, like Nookie, Break Stuff and Take a look around and the new tunes like Gold Cobra and Douche Bag made it all up. I had fun!
I made a clip, but it's soooo low quality...sorrysorry...

Gackt goes Dutch!
Japanese superstar Gackt is coming to The Netherlands! Did you know, the first Japanese song I heard was by Gackt?
Since then his voice got me hooked. I listened to 'Black Stone', 'Secret Garden', 'Mizerable' and so on... His spectaculair Diabolos liveshow is awesome, he made his entrance into sold out Tokyo Dome by riding a horse.
In 2010 Gackt went to Europe for the first time ever for a couple of concerts. Unfortunately the gigs were sold out that fast that I haven't got the chance to check him out live. BUT, he's coming back!!
July 26 he will perform at Melkweg in Amsterdam! Ticketsale starts today. Hmm I still have to order tickets, no idea how many fans will go. Maybe I have to hurry...!
Here's the first song I heard of him, Redemption ;)

Jumi on tour: Skunk Anansie @ HMH Amsterdam
We've waited for a VERY long time (bought the tickets in June 2010), and last friday we've finally seen them: Skunk Anansie at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. The evening started with supportact The Virginmarys and their music is uhm...well, we were really impatient and excited and we really couldn't wait to see Skunk Anansie perform, so we didn't enjoy the support act to be honest.
Back to Skunk Anansie: after 11 years they're back and introduced songs of their new album Wonderlustre. The opening was awesome. Skin was wearing huge cool things on her shoulders that looked like devilish wings. The lighteffects were fantastic. It was like a thunder, thunder, thunderstorm inside.
Skunk Anansie played new songs (ofcourse) and it took a bit to get used to their new sound. It's not that their sound is extremely different from before. But they've grown, some songs were softer, a lot less 'angrier'. We were glad that they also played old songs like Charlie Big Potato, Secretly, Brazen. And when they played Weak, the whole audience sang along. It was nice to see it.
Skin's vocals are amazing. She still has that powerful voice! Loved it!

Hatsune Miku live in concert
Woahh!!! I have never seen this before! This is amazing!
Hatsune Miku isn't a real person, it's a vocaloid. Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer application software that enables users to synthesize singing by just typing in lyrics and melody. (YES I copypasted this from wikipedia!! ;D)
Now she had her own concert! :D Please watch the vid above!

Review: Darwin Deez @ Paradiso Amsterdam
Last wednesday, JUMI went to check out New York's indie musicartist Darwin Deez at Paradiso in Amsterdam. He played with his band in the small hall of Paradiso. Wow, the place was PACKED! All kinds of people gathered to enjoy the happy & quirky tunes of Darwin Deez live such as Radar Detector.
The setlist was one hour, and time went by so fast, also because the gig was so much fun! Loved it when the crowd was singing along the funny lyrics of Bad Day. Between every song, the band showed us some special dancemoves and surprising shows for the audience. The band doesn't care at all how silly it looks, they do the creative stuff with all confidence and guts. Props to them! The crazy & funky silliness made a smile upon our faces.
If you go to Darwin Deez, go with no expectations and just enjoy! :)

Review: Dir en grey in London
Dir en grey, my inspiration and favorite band. The only band I would travel far for to see them. So I did. August 3, 2010 they would give a concert in the venue KOKO in London, UK. Ofcourse I flew to London and enjoyed Dir en grey live.
KOKO is a very nice to see venue. Great vintage theatre look.
It's located in Camden in London. Camden Town is a must-visit if you are into indie fashion! Luvv the shops there.
When I arrived at KOKO, I bumped into Dir en grey's crew with a camera. Ofcourse I yelled Come to Holland into it. Hopefully it will reach the DVD :D
KOKO was packed that night as it was sold out completely! It was hard to find a good spot!
Dir en grey did what they came for, they delivered an amazing show. From my place I had a good view of Shinya (drummer), a beast behind drums!
The brutal deep sounds of bass and drums shooked the venue!
Enjoying the song ZAN live was the best!!!
I have seen them quite a few times in Europe now and Dir en grey never bores me! But visiting one of their huge shows in Japan is still on my wishlist! And hopefully they will return to Holland really soon.
This is a little recording by me of the song Shokubeni:
