So there you are. Standing at the airport of Stockholm. Waiting for your flight. Checking the weather app. How's the weather in Reykjavik now, or in Hong Kong? Hmmkay and then you see a fahrenheit/celcius number... OK, soooo how hot is it? Is this lovely sweater you're wearing maybe too thick. Iekk what to wear?! Maybe the Climate Simulator can help you to decide what to wear at your destination.

Sooo what's the Climate Simulator? Stockholm's airport offers this unique weather service where you can actually feel how warm or cold it is at a destination. And you can hear and see your destination. It's like having a preview. “With the climate portal we wanted to explore the possibilities of not just taking you to your destination, but our destinations to you. A direct link to the whole world,” said Michael Persson Gripkow, marketing director at Swedavia. Ladies, this simulator might be handy if you still don't know or you should wear the dress you've packed in your handbag or just stick with the outfit you're wearing at the moment.

Anyway, the simulator is a portal where you can enter three different rooms. You can enter the following rooms:

• Go Cold room: Here you can feel cold northern winds, hear barking dogs, see winter landscapes. Step into this room and the portal will take you to places such as Kiruna, Tromsö and Reykjavik
• Go Hot room: Feel the heat while hearing sounds of cicades in Dubai, Doha and Fort Lauderdale
• Go Big room: This room is awesome. Hear the buzz of the city and smell different kitchens in the world. For a moment you're in Hong Kong, NY or LA.

The portal is a huge success! It has had over 40.000 visitors so far. Too bad that it's a temporarily addition to Stockholm Arlanda Airport. You can visit it till August 31.

Oui oui en France Jumi will be

No skyscrapers, busy traffic and hardcore faire du shopping in Seoul. Nope, this time little Jumi will take a little rest in the south of France. Bye bye foodheaven Seoul

.... and now I'm stuck with boring coffeeshops (or other type of coffeeshops, hmpf) and one dessert restaurant. A real cultureshock after coming home from foodheaven on earth: Seoul!

Even though we weren't feeling very well during our foodjourney, we ate as much as we could. Yes, even with a high fever, how could you resist this!

Walk in Paris with Han ChaeYoon

Little Jumi still can't get enough talking about her experiences in Paris (especially her heavenly moment with the snails). So this time I'll treat her with a song of Han ChaeYoon with Walking In Paris.

The song and MV are really cute (so of course you won't see images of dirty metro stations, rain or people arguing), definitely something for little Jumi. A cute little moment to dream again about Paris.

Jumi in Paris: in snailheaven at Le Bouillon Chartier

Yes, finally she did it. Little Jumi has eaten snails or l'escargots for the first time in Paris. And she loved it! Yup, by recommendation she went to a French (duh) restaurant Le Bouillon Chartier.

Without any expectations she arrived at the restaurant. It has a simple and oldish look, but it's charming. The dining area is huuuge! And I can understand why. There are many tables and many maaany customers. So Jumi had to share the table with two other customers. But that's OK. The funny thing is that those two customers didn't know each other, but started to have interesting conversations about anything. And I think that's normal here (or maybe in the country). If you start to talk to a stranger in a restaurant in Jumi's city, you'll get a angry face immediately or the stranger will grab his/her smartphone just to avoid conversations (haha that's me). The restaurant has a good atmosphere. Next: the heavenly piece of escargot!

Jumi in Tokyo: POPSKIN, for all your Korean makeup needs

Little Jumi has finally adjusted to her Dutch house after shopping in Tokyo, Japan a little while ago. She still misses the city alot as she keeps talking about it! One of the things she can't stop talking about are the beautyshops in Tokyo. They have all kinds of unknown beautyproducts and makeup stuff, cheap and of good quality!

Love me some face masks!

Little Jumi brought some face masks with her and they are from the makeup store POPSKIN, located in Tokyo's Koreatown (or K-Town). This lovely small shop has lots of facemasks and colourful makeup products. Mostly of Korean brands, because duh, Koreatown. No for real, they are specialized in Korean makeup brands.

The salesladies were so nice to Little Jumi. She couldn't see every product because of her height, so the sales lady treated her to a nice personal tour through the shop. Demonstrating a lot of products, like lipsticks and nailstickers. Also explaining every kind of facemask. And they have a lot!! Even G-Dragon and Jang Geun Suk have their own masks! Reviews coming up soon :)

Such a nice shopping experience. POPSKIN is definitly a must visit when you are in Tokyo and interested in makeup. Also, check out the other tiny Korean shops in the streets and enjoy some tteokbokki while walking. Koreatown in Tokyo is not very large, but it is nice for a shoppingday! Most shops sell beautyproducts and K-pop related things. Also some cheap bootlegged cd/dvd's hehehe

Take a ride with the IKEA train

Last sunday I wanted to check out some furniture for my home at IKEA.
Well, this one is actually really funny because... I had the exact same thought as all Dutch families of the country! Yes, this is meant to be sarcastic (^_^). It was so crazy crowded and filled with screaming kids everywhere. I even got hit by a cart driven by kids. Seriously omg... I think I will pass the idea of going to IKEA for a while.

But as I look around, I can understand why people love to go to IKEA with the family. There is food, drinks, a playground, seats, an easy maze (a.k.a. the shop's strategic walkthrough) and lots of colorful things to see. So yeah, I think IKEA can be compared as a themepark.

With every themepark, you must have your own train. So why not an IKEA train!
This excellent idea got realized in Tokyo! Because of the opening of Tokyo's first IKEA on April 10, a special decorated train will be travelling to the new store! The train has a typical IKEA interior with ofcourse only products of the Swedish brand. It's looking so nice and colorful. It even has cute curtains!

A Swedish salesman can not be excluded from the party!

But to ride this train, you have to be one of the lucky chosen ones. Only IKEA Family members got a chance to be raffled for a ride on the Party train. During the ride, you'll be treated on Swedish food and snacks. And there is also a quiz on board about Sweden. Sadly, the party train will ride for a limited time!

I hope some day IKEA will do something like this in Holland too! Then maybe, I will be interested in visiting the shop again soon... :)

Little Jumi in Tokyo

Hey lovely readers... Little Jumi went on a trip to Japan. She had a lot of fun in fabulous Tokyo!
Here she is dreaming away at the magical view of the amazing metropolis in SkyTree!

What she really loved are the Japanese beauty shops. She went crazy and bought so many stuff that she is totally broke now.

Also Little Jumi went to K-town in Tokyo (near Shin Okubo station). These small streets have a lot of Korean shops filled with K-pop, make up and yummy kimchi.

So she found her favourite shop! Pinching Ji Sungs cheek.

Send your stuffed animal on vacation

Yes! Finally there's a travel agency specialized in arranging vacations for your little best friend! Yup, maybe you're having some difficulties booking a vacation for yourself, because it's expensive or for some other reasons. So now you can send your little friend, it's much cheaper. And he or she will give you a full report of the destination.

OK, so who or what do I mean with that little best friend? Your stuffed animal! Unagi Travel is a Japanese travel agency for Stuffed Animals. OK, who the hell would book a vacation for a stuffed animal? Well, once a 51 year old lady had some difficulties with walking. So she send her little best friend on vacation. The travel agency made pictures with the little friend for her. This gave her a feeling as if she's on a holiday. 'Someday i want to see things myself that my stuffed animal already has seen'. Sweeeet!

I'm not sure if we'll send our little JUMI-member on vacation with the help of Unagi Travel.... a bit afraid to travel alone ^_^. Next stop Tokyo for little JUMI-member!

Wait for your bus with Totoro

Aaarghh, don't you hate it, when you have to wait for a long loooong time for the next stupid bus to come (because the previous one left too early, according to the busschedule)? Well, I do. Unless I wait for the bus at bus stop in Saikai City in Nagasaki.

Yup, at this bus stop you'll be accompanied by a friendly passenger: My Neighbor Totoro! Sweeeet!



So don't be afraid to wait alone. Don't get annoyed, angry or irritated, because you'll automatically smile when you see the passenger standing next to you. Talk to him, scream at him, hug him. Before you know it, time's up and the bus arrives :)

These freaky cakes and chocolates are made by Eat Your Heart Out, a collective of UK based food artists. They make decomposed body parts completely out of chocolate and turn cakes into human heads (or is it the other way around...............?). Anyways, I think they are brilliant and making me crave for just one lick of that skull. Maybe 2.  Okay 4.

Cat cafe opening in London!

Yay! The second European cat cafe is opening soon! This time the cafe will be in London UK!

We all know the world including Europe are so far behind Asia when it comes to themed cafe's with cute pets. The first ever European cat cafe Cafe Neko in Vienna opened a little more then a year ago. And I still haven't got the chance to visit which is sad and bummerish! Holland is like an 24/7 open dogcafe itself including streetpoo, so I don't see a cat cafe opening here soon. So my next stop should be London!

The big kitty project Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium started with a successful crowdfunding project. From cat lovers to British cat lovers and beyond. The cafe is fully designed by the kitty mistress behind Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium herself and will feature Victorian-style decor where we can divinely pet cats while zippin on a fabulous drink.

It sounds fancatstic! Especially the Victorian touch the cafe will be getting, ooh I'm loving the idea!
The opening date is not known yet but they aim for somewhere this year. Check out the lovely site.
By the way, while the cafe is still "under construction" and still in the middle of choosing beautiful cats, you can already buy entrance tickets. I guess when it opens a looooong que will be at the entrance!

What the...store your tent in your sneakers?

Me and camping? That's a big no no. I imagine dragging the heavy equipment and setting up the tent.... Uhh, where's the nearest hotel?

Hmm, now there's a new tent invention, that might be interesting for me to try: The Walking Shelter by Gorman!

No need to carry heavy huge bags of equipment. It's all stored within a pair of sneakers. Yup, the tent is folded down and slipped into the side of the shoes. So you can carry it everywhere! Hmmmm, interesting....... or not?

Hmmm... I think I'll stick to my comfy hotel :)

Cat cafes move over! Here comes the... goat café?

Getting tired of petting lovely fluffy kitties all day? Or feeding cookies to your little doggie starts to bore you. You may want something pettable that makes you feel you are standing in the middle of nature while working in a busy metropolis? Or not, maybe you just want a change of fur to pet.

Well, here's the first goat café! Sakuragaoka Cafe in Tokyo has two cute goats Sakura & Chocolat to entertain you while zippin tea and eating waffles!



So do you think it will be the next big thing next to cat cafes?
I like to visit this cafe, it looks interesting! Though I prefer a cat cafe. But maybe that's because I have never been to a cat cafe. Also I am allergic to cats. But I love cats! I wonder if I am allergic to goats too?? Does it even exists? Goat allergy... Umm... So maybe petting goats is a good thing for people with cat allergies!
(I googled it, and it does exist! So be careful if you are allergic for goats!)

At first I thought by 'Goat cafe' a bunch of goats walking loose in a cafe, but these goats have their own space. Also the interior of the cafe is looking nice. Annnd the goats don't have smelly poop! :D

Get to know South Korea with PSY guide

Weeeeh JUMI is soooo sad that English subbed k-drama website dramacrazy is dead. One of our favorite sources to learn Korean and to see a bit of the country itself. *cry*......

But guess who made us happy again: PSY! No, he doesn't have a role in a English k-drama or whatever. Nope. The Korea Tourism Organization came up with something new: the Wiki Korea Dictionary starring PSY.

In the series (the videos in the series only lasts about 15 seconds each) PSY teaches 'Korean phrases to prospective tourists to South Korea.' He will learn us (for example) names of popular shopping districts and foodstuff. Get to know Korean culture better. Oehh nice!

For all the Chocolate lovers like us: The Chocolate Boutique Hotel just opened in Bournemouth, UK and it is the world's first chocolate themed hotel! MMmmm chocolate.......

room rates are from 75 ~ 200 euros

Everything is chocolate themed, the rooms are named such as Seventy percent, The Cocoa Bean, The Chocolate Truffle Suite (i like this one)...

There is a chocolate fountain in every room with ofcourse, handmade chocolates. Jummy! If you feel like snacking, you can also order Chocolate roomservice. Or why not do choco workshops like making a chocolate shoe or find out how to make Belgian truffles, attend chocolate taste classes or watch chocolate themed movies. At night you can chill at the choctailbar, while zippin on a chocolate martini. Ahhhhh that's life!!!

Rabbits rule the island

OK, next time I set foot on Japan, I'll definitely run to Okunoshima Island. And pinch those cute cheeks of these little guys. All day long, all day... (hmm, I'm still in the Lionel mood)

Yes, this small island, in the Hiroshima Prefecture, has a looooot of cute rabbit inhabitants. They're just walking everywhere on the streets. Sweeeet!

Well, this island wasn't always that sweet and cute. "In the early 20th century, it served as the base for the Imperial Army's lethal gas operation". But how the hell did the cute rabbits end up here? Some say that the ancestors of the cute rabbits were used "to test the effects of poisonous gases". After the war they released the rabbits into the wild. Others say that a group of eight bunnies were released by just a group of kids who were on a field trip at this island. Hmmm, too bad that I can't speak rabbitish or else I would ask it myself.

Sleep in Batman's bat cave

If your alter ego is Batman or Batgirl, then this is might be something for you. No, it's not the real real bat cave of Batman. But the Eden Hotel in Kaohsiung City (Taiwan) has a Batman suite!

Hmm, to be honest, I don't know if I would sleep here. It's too dark and the room looks a bit uhmm...dusty. Would you spend a night in this Batman suite?
